CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS

IRI / CEPCO, Inc. was contracted as the Architect of Records to Provide the LAN / WAN & Power Systems for several Chicago Public Schools including: Ward, Salazar, Ross and Clark Schools, Sherman and Byrne Elementary Schools, Amundsen High School, and Gold Smith Academy.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
IRI / CEPCO, Inc. as the Architect of Record was responsible to provide design, renovation and assessment/survey for the LAN/WAN system and power upgrades for the schools mentioned above. It was the responsibility of IRI / CEPCO, Inc. to survey and assess the ADA Compliance for all entry doors, washroom facilities, stairs, and fire alarm systems, etc. IRI / CEPCO, Inc. designed and upgraded all new systems for the mechanical and electrical system. All documents were prepared my IRI / CEPCO, Inc. to conform with CPS’ standard qualifications.

PROJECT GOALS
The project upgraded all LAN / WAN and Power System requirements to meet Y2K specifications in all eight schools.

COOK COUNTY ASSESSOR’S OFFICE

IRI/CEPCO Provides Interior Design And Renovation Services For The Office Of The Cook County Assessor

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
IRI/CEPCO, Inc. was responsible for the interior design and renovation of this 70,000 square foot office project. Work included staff interviews and program analysis to identify and solve various circulation, adjacency and paper flow issues for approximately 400 employees. The project also involved the development of prototypical workstations for the various department functions ranging from clerical to management. The project documentation also included full construction documents for new electrical, phone and data cabling to all new work stations.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
IRI/CEPCO was responsible for the interior design and finish selection , custom design for floor patterning, walls, terrazzo entry and a per floor color identity for the Edward Jenner Academy of the Arts. (Chicago Public School)

IRI/CEPCO Designed A New HTW Generator For The DOA At O’Hare International Airport

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
IRI/CEPCO partnered with the Austin Co. for engineering services to provide state-of-art automated control systems for the eight High Temperature Water (HTW) Generators in the H & R Building, and to verify the field operation and compliance with current emission control standards.

PROJECT GOALS
Improve efficiency, and provide automated data collection for HTW Generators 1 through 8.

Designed the Heating and Air Conditioning Systems for the HTW building and Replaced HTW generators

The system has improved output and efficiency, and increased the comfort level at the world’s busiest airport.

COTTAGE GROVE HEALTH CENTER

Space Planning and Interior Design Services For The Cottage Grove Health Center In Ford Heights

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
IRI/CEPCO is responsible for the interior design, space planning and furniture specifications for several newly constructed Cook County Health Care facilities, including Robbins Clinic, Robbins, Ill. Primary work was done in the expansive lobby, waiting area and child’s playroom of the 13,435 square foot facility. IRI/CEPCO was responsible for all interior finishes and made extensive use of custom-built millwork in the design.

The challenge for IRI/CEPCO was to design a modern and efficient space where patients and workers could feel comfortable, staying within a tight budget and timetable.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The 160 Acre campus has existed for more than 30 years and serves 5-6 thousand students, The small existing library will be replaced with a new library of 140,000sq. ft., four stories tall. This library will have an automated storage and retrieval component for seven hundred and fifty thousand volumes of archived books. There will be shelf storage for additional 4,000 volumes of books. The library is designed for a substantial amount of open space for patron use. An accessibly under-floor system of power and data cables will allow students to connect their Lap Tops from their comfortable seating in the lounges.
